RBRoomBadge

RoomBadge - meeting room display and instant booking for Microsoft 365

RoomBadge turns an ordinary Android tablet into a meeting room display. Mounted on the wall outside a meeting room, it shows whether the room is free or booked, which meeting is running, who booked it, and what is coming next. Anyone standing in front of the room can book it on the spot by tapping a button - no login, no app, no calendar invitation.

RoomBadge is not a calendar system. All meeting data lives in Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online, and RoomBadge reads and writes it through the Microsoft Graph API. Exchange remains the single source of truth, so bookings made on the tablet appear immediately in Outlook and Teams, and bookings made in Outlook appear immediately on the tablet.

Pay per room, never per user

A customer with three meeting rooms pays for three licences. There is no per-user pricing, no per-admin pricing and no seat model. One meeting room costs USD 5.40 per month or USD 53.88 per year. Every new account is automatically provisioned with one free room licence, with no credit card required, so the product can be evaluated on a real meeting room before anything is paid. Rooms can be cancelled at any time and there are no monthly minimums.

Bring your own tablet

RoomBadge runs on any Android tablet from Android 5.0 (API 21) upwards, so hardware you already own can be reused. The interface is designed for 10-inch tablets in landscape orientation. On Philips Professional Display 10BDL series panels, RoomBadge also controls the bezel status LED - green when the room is free, red when it is booked - so the status of a room is readable from the far end of a corridor.

What RoomBadge does

Built for Scandinavia

RoomBadge is developed by Uptek in Norway and the tablet interface is in Norwegian Bokmål. It is built for Norwegian and Scandinavian small and mid-sized businesses that run on Microsoft 365 and want meeting room displays without buying into an expensive hardware bundle or a per-user subscription.
